PUP Sta. Mesa campus students once again had a full-day of Korean activities as KCC visited PUP Sta.Mesa (M.H Del Pilar) for another Korean Culture Caravan last November 25.
This is the third time for KCC to hold the Korean Culture Caravan in the university. In 2014 the first Korean Culture Caravan was held by the invitation of Department of English, Foreign Languages and Linguistics. Also last November 2015, the culture caravan was held in the same campus by the invitation of PUP College of Tourism and Hospitality Management.
This year the free admission event was composed of three parts: K-Cooking Contest, K-Film Screening and the K-pop Dance Contest which were held at the Cafe Hasmin and Manila Room of PUP M.H. Del Pilar Campus.

A K-cooking contest was also held simultaneously with the K-Film Screening event. Four different groups compete and showcased their Korean-inspired dish.
As for the other students of PUP to fully enjoy the culture caravan, a photo exhibit, handbook experience and KCC booth which were all located at the Hasmin Lobby were prepared by KCC.

In the afternoon, Director Oh Choong Suk from Korean Cultural Center welcomed everybody as he delivered his speech and explained the Korean Cultural Center’s activities in the country and what it offers to people who wants to learn Korean language, K-pop dance and culture.
The whole event was filled with excitement as the K-pop dance competition begins. Eight groups of PUP Students from different courses showcased their talents as they performed their favorite K-Pop songs.
Also, the Korean Cultural Center’s Samulnori Team performed an enticing performance wherein they showcased what they have learned during their training in Korea last October.
The event ended with the announcement of winners and distribution of certificates to the participants. 2-1D which was composed of PUP students Roselle Nikka G. Boy, Niño Rijanson C. Que and Eric B. Heraldo won the cooking competition. For the K-pop dance contest, the group COMRADE won the grand prize.
