Cherish the company of loved ones this Korean Family Month

It’s been a year since staying at home is the new normal and the Korean Cultural Center extends its efforts into making our moments worthy as well as interactive.

As we celebrate the Korean Family Month this May, let’s check the upcoming events KCC has prepared for each member of the family.

For the K-FILM LOVER:

2021 Korean Film Festival: Full House, Fun for All.

At home, there might be this family member who preferred watching 2-3-hour films than a 16-20 episode Korean series. Then, this Korean Film Festival with the tagline, Full House, Fun for All is the best to offer! This year’s festival features 7 films under three different genres: action, comedy, and family genre. The festival will be available for viewing in the Philippines for free via KCC’s official website, http://phil.korean-culture.org/en from May 7 to May 27, 2021. Prizes await viewers who will join the 2021 KFF Online Film Reaction Essay Contest and the KFF Survey.

For the K-DRAMA FAN:

Let’s take a guessing game to how many k-drama series have you watched even before pandemic? One, two? *Insert, “promise last episode na.”
KCC is pioneering a shorterview series titled, “Along With K-Culture: Meet the K-Stans.” Shorterview is a combination of the words, short and interview, which is an increasingly popular format in Korea’s online shows and vlogs. In the six-part series, K-Stans will tackle elements of K-Culture and assess its impact locally through experts and keynote speakers coming from various industries and institutions. Let’s hear or correlate these speakers as to why K-Culture is indeed, tempting and irresistible.

For the KPOP STAN:

Our very own Kpop Dance Diva, Dasuri Choi will be back as your coolest ssem [teacher in Korean] for the K-Dance Clinic on May 19. Get movin’ and dancin’ to your favorite Kpop songs. Catch the free live stream of Dasuri’s dance tutorial with the lucky participants who have joined “K-Dance! Power Up” event last month on KCC’s official Youtube Channel.

For THE K-CULTURE ENTHUSIAST:

Do you know anyone who’s a Filipino but automatically bows in front of you like what you see in K-series? Oops.

KCC continues to educate Filipinos about Korean Culture through Traditional Thursday. For the month of May, let’s learn more about the Korean Customs including the concept of Courtesy, Warm Affection, Community and Fun. Get ready to immerse in these online contents, and probably you can apply some in your own lives as well.

So what are you waiting for chinggus [friends in korean]?! Tap a family member and together enjoy the exciting and heart-warming activities you can enjoy doing this month of May.

Stay updated about KCC’s other events and activities by following us on our social media sites Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/KoreanCulturalCenterPH) and on Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube via KCCPhil.
